Giving FAQs

Can I give to a specify project?

Yes! When you donate to Mittagong Presbyterian Community Church, let us know via email through the contact page which mission or activity of the church you would like us to direct your gift to.

Are there any fees applied by the church to my financial gift

No

Do I receive a receipt when I donate?

Yes: each time you donate either as one-off or recurring donation you will receive an invoice to save and print from your PC or laptop or tablet.

How is the financial transaction recorded?

You will receive a receipt for your donation. It is processed though the giving web portal which is secure. A debit for the amount will appear on your financial statement and a credit on the church financial statements.  The church does NOT keep a record of your credit card details.

Is my giving (donation) tax deductible?

NO: Mittagong Presbyterian Community Church is not approved by the Australian government as an approved not-for-profit organisations and therefore does not receive tax deductibility for projects that are primarily religious in nature. Therefore donations to most of our missionaries and their projects are not tax deductible because of the Christian emphasis of their ministry. However, all donations are used in accordance with the NSW Presbyterian Church rules and intended mission work as approved by the Session of the MPCC

What is the impact of my giving?

Giving generously to the work of Mittagong Presbyterian Community Church is part of a thankful response to God for all that He has done for us. As followers of Jesus, we want to be faithful stewards of all that he has entrusted to us, including our money.
